Frequently Asked Questions
What is required for my dog to stay at Puppy Dreams?
Vaccines needed: Rabies, Distemper/Parvo(DHPP, DAPP or DHLPP), Influenza, and Bordetella. The Leptospirosis vaccination is highly recommended but not required.
It is the owners responsibility to ensure that their pet is up to date on all shots and to provide proof of vaccinations. We are unable to accept any dogs with expired vaccinations.
A Meet & Greet is also required for every new dog. This appointment must be scheduled, and lasts roughly an hour. We use the Meet & Greet to ensure that your dog will be comfortable in our care and that we are a good fit for their individual needs. At the time of the Meet & Greet you may also have a tour and will fill out our boarding contract.
Additionally, all dogs are required to be potty trained and we are unable to take dogs with people aggression.
Can my dogs stay in the same room together?
Yes! As long as they already live together at home, and are able to eat their meals in the same space without needing to be seperated.
They will also be able to go outside and play together each time, unless occasionally they would like to try out different playgroups for different energy levels!
How do I schedule a reservation?
You can schedule a reservation by calling our office at (407)654-8885. If we are not able to answer the phone, please leave a voicemail and we will get back to you ASAP.
We are unable to take any reservtions via email or social media.
What do I need to bring when my dog is boarding?
The only things that are REQUIRED are food for their stay, a collar and their leash. Please ensure that your dog has enough food for the duration of their stay. If they don't have enough, then we will feed them our food. However, there is an additional charge and it may cause their stomachs to become upset due to the sudden change in diet.
You may also bring any bedding, blankets and toys that would make them feel more comfortable in their room. We highly recommend bringing a T-Shirt of yours that smells like you to remind them of home!
When can I drop off/pick up my dog?
Our hours of operation are:
Monday - Friday 7AM-12PM + 3PM-7PM
Saturday - Sunday 9AM-12PM + 3PM-6PM
We are closed on all major holidays including; Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day. We are unable to accept pick ups, drop offs, or daycares on these days.
Check out is daily at 11AM. If you pick up before 11AM you will not be charged for that day. If you pick up after 11AM, it counts as a full day charge.
What do you do if my dog has thunder storm or firework anxiety?
We encourage every dog parent to consult their veterinarian to see if their dog may need anxiety medication, depending on how intense their anxiety is. We are able to give over the counter calming treats with parents permission, and are also able to administer prescribed medication if it is brought in.
